The DAR AZAWAD hotel is a Mecca for 4x4 driving. Indeed the Dakar rally raid used to pass by for many years, less than 2 km (1 mile) away from DAR AZAWAD. The Dakar’s most beautiful pictures were shot in our neighbourhood. Moreover, every year we have the Dakar’s major teams coming over to test their prototypes in July’s extremely hot weather conditions; that is, Volkswagen and Mitsubishi as well as bikers Pedro BIANCHI-PATRA or Cyril DEPRES.
INTRODUCTION TO SAND DRIVING
Whether you drive your own or a rented 4x4, we can provide you with introduction courses to sand driving. Within a day or two you can end up riding a 4x4 over a dune. You will be taught the basics of sand driving by an experienced instructor, as well as errors to be avoided and first-aid training, and techniques when your car is stuck in the sand; in short, a few tips before you head up for the dunes on your own.
